Camp Fire Relief

Our team members and customers are greatly impacted. We’re doing all we can to support them; committing our resources, time and prayers to those affected for the duration of this crisis.

Raley’s is committed to supporting our community through a marathon of recovery and rebuilding. We continue to coordinate donations with the help of our Raley’s Food For Families partner, Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano.  The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano’s new distributions are taking place in Chico and Oroville twice a month as long as our services are needed.  Please visit the “additional resources” tab to find more information for those affected by the Camp Fire.

The Camp Fire burned over 153,000 acres throughout Butte County. Over 13,000 residences burned and the fire destroyed or damaged hundreds of businesses.

27,000 people continue to be under mandatory evacuation around Butte County. The Camp Fire was designated the most destructive and deadliest wildfire in California’s history.

Chico store team members and store leadership from throughout the area provided immediate support, feeding victims in our parking lots and providing requested donations to evacuation shelters.  Here is a snapshot of our continued giving during recovery:

  • Staging of one refrigeration truck at Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano for perishable product donation needs
  • Donation of fruit, water and snack items for 250 displaced students as part of a special performance at Chico State
  • Staging of two refrigeration trucks on site for storage needs at the Salvation Army distribution center
    • Allowing for healthy fruits and vegetables, proteins, dairy and other perishable foods to be distributed to our neighbors
    • This distribution center has been serving an average of 250-300 families each day
