Raley’s is committed to supporting our community through a marathon of recovery and rebuilding. We continue to coordinate donations with the help of our Raley’s Food For Families partner, Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano’s new distributions are taking place in Chico and Oroville twice a month as long as our services are needed. The Camp Fire burned over 153,000 acres throughout Butte County. Over 13,000 residences burned and the fire destroyed or damaged hundreds of businesses.
27,000 people continue to be under mandatory evacuation around Butte County. The Camp Fire was designated the most destructive and deadliest wildfire in California’s history.
Chico store team members and store leadership from throughout the area provided immediate support, feeding victims in our parking lots and providing requested donations to evacuation shelters. Here is a snapshot of our continued giving during recovery:
