A Brief History of Our Brands

These brands fall under the Raley's Companies: Raley's, BelAir, Nob Hill, Raley's ONE Market, Food Source and Sak'n Save

Raley’s owns and operates 129 grocery stores across northern California and Nevada, all known for their high-quality products, exceptional customer service and convenience.

Raley’s was founded by Tom Raley in 1935 in Placerville, Ca., and has since grown to include 78 stores operating under the flagship brand. In 1992, Raley’s acquired Bel Air Markets, a 20-store chain founded in 1955 by the Wong family and operating in the Sacramento metro region. In 1998, Raley’s purchased the 20-store Nob Hill Foods chain of stores from the Bonfante family, who operated the stores throughout California’s East Bay, South Bay and Central Coast regions.
