Ingredients
- 2 California pears, cored and cut into ½ inch cubes
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 6 ounces Jack or Smoked Jack cheese, cubed, such as Sierra Nevada
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 teaspoons sriracha or chipotle hot sauce
- 4 sprigs fresh thyme
- Flaky sea salt, cracked black pepper or red pepper flakes, optional
Instructions
- Toss the cubed pear in the lemon juice to prevent browning, then thread alternating cubes of pear and cheese on a skewer or long toothpick.
- Add the honey and hot sauce to a microwave-safe bowl. Heat at full power for 30 seconds and stir to combine.
- Drizzle a bit of the honey over each skewer, and then top with thyme leaves. Add flaky sea salt, cracked black pepper or red pepper flakes if desired. Serve immediately. Remaining hot honey may be stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
