Smoothies are a great way to fit a lot of fruits and vegetables into an on-the-go meal that even the pickiest child will enjoy.

Perfect for busy mornings or as an after-school snack, using frozen produce makes smoothies a near-effortless delight. Try freezing individually portioned ingredients for an even quicker prep.

Plus, freezing naturally preserves the fruit and locks in the flavor and nutrients so you can enjoy farm fresh taste throughout the year.

Texture

For creamier smoothies, add nut butter or avocado.
A little instant oatmeal gives smoothies a heartier texture while adding whole grains.

Boosts

Add dark greens – such as kale and spinach – for a more nutrient-dense smoothie. • Include nut butter, milk, yogurt or chia seeds for added protein.

Blending

Skip the ice; freeze cut fruit or buy frozen produce.
Add liquids first. Start on low speed to break up thick chunks. Finish on high speed to blend fully.
