1/4 lb. Virginia Ham, thick slice, cut into strips
3/4 cups Raley's Frozen Peas
1 cup sliced yellow onion
1 pkg. 8.5 oz. Barilla Ready Pasta, Rotini
4 tbsp. parmesan cheese, shredded
1 tsp. garlic*
1 1/2 tsp. olive oil*
1/8 tsp. salt*
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper*
2 tbsp. water*
1/4 tsp. red pepper flake* (optional)

Heat olive oil in a large sauté pan over high heat. Add sliced onions, salt and pepper and lower to medium to medium high heat. Cook onions for 7-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they become translucent and begin to brown.
Add garlic and ham. Stir and cook for 2 minutes.
Meanwhile, heat precooked pasta according to package instructions. Add pasta, peas, water and 3 tbsp. parmesan to the pan. Stir and cook for 1 1/2 minutes.
Divide between 2 plates, garnish with remaining parmesan and red pepper flakes (optional).
