Carr Fire Relief

Raley’s partnered with the community to donate more than $170,000 to Carr Fire Relief efforts. All donations are distributed throughout the impacted area, directly supporting the rebuilding efforts through the Shasta Regional Community Foundation.

On July 23, 2018, the Carr Fire began to burn for what would soon become over a month of devastation throughout Shasta and Trinity Counties. The Carr Fire took more than 229,000 acres, over 1,600 buildings, and the lives of eight people on its path of destruction.

“We understand the devastation that comes with wildfires and our team organized quickly to support our community with the resources needed most,” said Becca Whitman, Community Relations Manager & Executive Director of Raley’s Food For Families.

As rebuilding efforts continue, Raley’s is committed to supporting those affected by this devastating disaster and encourages everyone to do so.

Efforts made during the fires:

Raley’s team members provided immediate support, feeding victims in parking lots and providing requested donations to evacuation shelters.

  • Raley’s staged a refrigerated truck at Bethel Church, the Salvation Army distribution center. The truck remained there for over a week to support the needs of Dignity Health Connected Living and the Salvation Army as they continued to distribute food.

    • 12 pallets of sports drink with support from Gatorade
    • 5 pallets of snack bars
    • 500 sandwiches from Taylor Farms
    • 150 loaves of bread
    • 20 pies
