Raley’s and River Cats Support Remarkable Kids

Group Tickets Available for Youth Organizations This Summer

By Amy Davis | Monday July 6, 2009

WEST SACRAMENTO, CA – This year, Raley’s and the River Cats have increased their commitments to the Remarkable Kids program, to make a night at the ballpark available to even more youth in the greater-Sacramento region this summer.

Through the Remarkable Kids program – benefiting youth organizations like schools, after school groups, church groups and more – Raley’s and the River Cats donate group tickets to home games at Raley Field every season. Free group tickets are still available for some games in July and August this season.

“For many children, this is often their first experience at the ballpark,” said Raley’s Communications Specialist, Amy Davis. “We feel very strongly about supporting our communities and creating opportunities for every child to enjoy, so this season, we’re doing our part to bring even more children into Raley Field to cheer on the River Cats – a treasured Sacramento pastime.”

“The River Cats are proud to partner with Raley’s on this terrific program,” said Alan Ledford, River Cats President, General Manager and COO. “The Remarkable Kids program has provided countless community organizations with the opportunity to create lifelong memories at Raley Field and we are thankful to have a partner in Raley’s with a passion for this type of community investment.”

Groups receive 25 free lawn tickets for one home game and also get to see their group’s name pop up in bright lights on the scoreboard video screen throughout the game. The game announcer also makes multiple announcements of the featured organization, giving everyone in the stands a chance to cheer for the Remarkable Kids of that game.

Youth organizations are invited to contact Raley’s with group ticket requests by sending letters to:
