Raley’s and River Cats Support Remarkable Kids

The Remarkable Kids Program Is a Grand Slam for Local Youth Organizations

By Amy Johnston | Wednesday June 20, 2007

WEST SACRAMENTO, CA – There’s nothing quite like a Sacramento River Cats game. From the crack of the bat to Dinger’s dazzling dance moves, it’s a true Sacramento summertime tradition. That’s why Raley’s steps up to the plate with the River Cats each season to donate hundreds of free tickets to local youth organizations.

Raley’s and the Sacramento River Cats are partners in the Remarkable Kids program, which benefits youth organizations like schools, after school groups, church groups and more with donations of group tickets to River Cats home games at Raley Field. With 72 home games this season, Raley’s will give away a total of 1,800 tickets to deserving groups. And the best part? A few August home games are still up for grabs!

Groups receive 25 free lawn tickets for one home game and also get to see their group’s name pop up in those bright lights on the scoreboard video screen throughout the game. The game announcer also makes multiple announcements of the featured organization during the home game they attend.

“The program has been in operation for a number of years now and each year we continue to receive requests from deserving youth organizations,” says Amy Johnston, Raley’s spokeswoman. “For many children, this is their first baseball game and we are happy to sponsor a night out at the ballpark for them.”

This season, hit a home run for your group with Raley’s and the River Cats! Youth organizations are invited to contact Raley’s by sending group ticket request letters to: Raley’s Remarkable Kids Program 500 West Capitol Ave West Sacramento, CA 95605
