WEST SACRAMENTO, CA – The West Sacramento based grocery chain Raley’s announced today it signed a settlement agreement with the United Food & Commercial Workers Union Locals 5, 8 and 101. Raley’s Family of Fine Stores has multiple agreements with Local chapters covering over 7,000 colleagues in Raley’s stores and Bel Air Markets throughout Northern California. Once ratified, the new contract will extend four years.
A leader in the communities it serves, Raley’s took proactive steps with the union toward solutions that allow for both a fair agreement for colleagues and seamless service to customers. Raley’s worked closely with the union to find innovative solutions to meet the company’s unique needs as a regional chain.
“We’ve worked very hard to negotiate with UFCW Union Locals 5, 8 and 101 to come to an agreement that is in the best interest of our colleagues and the future success of our company,” said Amy Johnston, Raley’s spokeswoman. “We are pleased to have the negotiations complete so we can continue to provide our customers with the highest quality service in the communities we serve.”
