Raley’s Dietitian Teaches Cooking with Healthy Grains Classes

Free Classes Provide Resources and Recipes

WEST SACRAMENTO, CA. – Health experts advise consumers to incorporate more whole grain foods in their everyday diets. But 80 percent of Americans are not getting the recommended three servings per day. One reason could be simply that they don’t know how to prepare them, or how to add them to meals.
But what is a whole grain? And why does it matter? Raley’s Corporate Dietitian, Earline Griffith, R.D., will answer these questions and more in five upcoming Cooking with Healthy Grains classes.

“I’ll be teaching some no-fuss, delicious whole grain recipes and techniques to increase your intake of wholesome foods – while working within a budget,” said Griffith.

Classes are 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Natural Foods Kiosk inside each store:
Thursday, Aug. 28 – Bel Air Market at 2760 East Bidwell in Folsom
Friday, Sept. 5 – Raley’s at 8870 Madison Ave. in Fair Oaks
