EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. – Calling all American Idol fans! Dreyer’s Slow Churned Light Ice Cream is debuting its second season line-up of American Idol flavors. To showcase these rockin’ new varieties, Raley’s is hosting the exclusive Northern California meet-and-greet with one of the show’s top finalists – Melinda Doolittle!
A finalist from the sixth season of American Idol, Melinda kicks off her U.S. Dreyer’s Idol Ice Cream Tour at the El Dorado Hills Raley’s store to meet fans, sign autographs and sample Dreyer’s latest rock-star inspired light ice cream flavors. She’s making her appearance on Wednesday, Feb. 27 from 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at the Raley’s on 3935 Park Drive in El Dorado Hills.
Ice cream lovers and Idol fans can vote for their favorite flavor at Slowchurned.com. What’s more, one lucky Sacramento resident who votes by 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26 will win a private home concert with Melinda the evening of Wednesday, Feb. 27! The Dreyer’s Slow Churned American Idol flavor achieving the most votes by May 31 will earn a permanent spot in the Slow Churned light ice cream line-up. Fans who cast votes can also be entered to win other cool prizes, including a trip to the “American Idol” finale.

Cheesecake Diva commands the stage with a creamy cheesecake light ice cream, decadent brownie bites and an entourage of fudge swirls.
Cookies N Dreamz hits a high note with chocolate light ice cream filled with crunchy pieces of chocolate cookie.
Mint Karaoke Cookie makes a lyrical mix of mint light ice cream with a crescendo of chocolate cookies.
Most Orange-inal rocks the house by blending creamy vanilla light ice cream with swirls of refreshing orange sorbet.
One Split Wonder takes the spotlight with rich banana light ice cream swirling with fruit and gooey fudge.
