Raley’s Pharmacies Recognized Best in the West

pharmacyReaders of a leading national consumer magazine rated Raley’s the best pharmacy in the West in an annual ranking of the top pharmacies and drug stores.

The magazine ranked pharmacies of all sizes throughout the country on a variety of consumer experiences including personal service, knowledge, speed, accuracy, helpfulness and courtesy. With 97 in-store pharmacies, Raley’s scored a 92 to finish one point behind the highest-rated supermarket pharmacy, Wegman’s Food Markets, an 83-store grocery chain based in New York. Non-grocery pharmacies, Health Mart and Independents, also scored a 92.

“We are thrilled to learn of this recognition based shopper feedback,” said Lee Worthy, a pharmacist and Raley’s Vice President of Pharmacy & Wellness. “Clearly, our customers appreciate our focus on meeting their health and wellness needs through our personalized service and offerings like our online prescription service, our wide range of generic prescriptions and our in-store immunizations.”

In addition to shopper surveys, the magazine sent anonymous shoppers to stores to test pharmacy team knowledge.

Raley’s established its first pharmacy in a grocery store in 1973. That’s when company founder, Tom Raley, created his first “super store” by tearing down the wall separating his grocery store from the pharmacy located next door. From its earliest days, Raley’s has sought to provide its customers with total wellness solutions beyond the pharmacy, by offering fresh and natural products that contribute to a healthy diet and lifestyle.
