Plant Based

This icon identifies products for consumers who are seeking to increase consumption of plant-based foods. Plant-based foods do not contain any meat products but are not necessarily Vegan. This dietary approach emphasizes eating minimally processed foods, whole fruits, vegetables and whole grains. 

  • The majority of Plant-Based products have limited amounts of fat (13g), saturated fat (4g) and sodium (480 mg). Exceptions have been made for nut and coconut based non-dairy products.These products are naturally higher in fat and saturated fat. But in moderation, can be a part of a plant-based diet.
  • All grain products have at least 8g of whole grains.
