Spotlight on Sugar

We’re educating our customers about added sugar and its possible effects on our health, while advocating for you with our vendors for better ingredients in the products we carry.

It’s not our intention to tell our customers how to eat, but we do want you to be empowered with nutrition information when you’re thinking about what to purchase.

Changes In-Store

We’ve moved cereals that contain 25% or more of their total calories coming from added sugar to the bottom shelf in our stores, to help bring awareness to which cereals have the most added sugar, often with less dietary fiber and other beneficial nutrients.

In addition, we’ve rolled out Higher in Added Sugar and Lower in Added Sugar shelf tags to many more categories to help you make informed choices at shelf and when shopping online. Over time, we’ll continue this effort with other categories to help you make informed choices at the shelf.
