LOG FILES

As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in electronic log files. This information includes Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.

We use this information to analyze trends, to administer the sites, to track users’ movements around the sites and to enhance the experience of our customers on our websites. Unless you are a Something Extra Member, we do not link this automatically collected data to your name, address, email address, telephone number, or other information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could be reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with you.

UNIQUE IDENTIFIERS AND OTHER COMPUTER OR DEVICE INFORMATION

A unique identifier is a persistent identifier that can be used to recognize a computer or other device capable of connecting to the internet, directly or indirectly, over time and across different websites. IP addresses, cookies, beacons, local webstorage and pixel tags are all examples of unique identifiers, although IP addresses can be subject to change by your ISP, if you are using different wireless networks, or if you change your router or your internet service provider (ISP). A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer or other device in association with an internet browser for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies and other unique identifiers on this site. Visitors to our websites are sent cookies to keep track of their browsing patterns and build up a user profile.

We use both session cookies and persistent cookies. We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our sites. A session cookie expires when you close your browser.

In addition, a user who has clicked on an advertisement on another website that links to Raley’s Family of Stores Websites may be sent a persistent cookie that allows us to analyze advertising effectiveness and manage our relationship with the referring website. A persistent cookie remains on your device in association with an internet browser for an extended period of time. You can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your browser’s “help” feature.

Persistent cookies are used to customize the content of certain sections of the websites and enable us to track and target the interests of our users and to enhance the experience on our websites. For example, we may set a persistent cookie to store your preferred store locations for weekly ads and promotions, so you don’t have to enter it more than once.

If you reject cookies, you may still use our sites, but your ability to use some areas of our sites, such as easier access to offers, will be limited.

We also collect certain technical information from your computer or device each time you request a page during a visit to Raley’s Family of Stores Websites. This information may include your IP address, your computer or device’s operating system, browser type and the address of a referring website, if any. We collect this information to enhance the quality of your experience during your visit to the website.

We also contract with service providers to obtain: data collection and reporting services regarding our customers’ activities on the websites; tracking and measuring performance of our marketing efforts and your response to our marketing efforts; and the delivery of relevant marketing messages. These service providers may use cookies and Web beacons (1 x 1 pixels), and may receive information about your browsing and buying activity on the websites. Your name, address, email address, or credit card number will not be received by or disclosed to these service providers. If you do not want your computer or device’s unique identifier used to serve ads to you, you can change the settings of your browser to reject cookies.

In order to provide you with control over the use of cookies and tracking technologies, our website includes a Consent Manager. The Consent Manager allows you to opt out of certain features and, depending on your choices, will remember your options if you access our website again through the same device and browser.

PRIVACY RIGHTS FOR RESIDENTS OF CALIFORNIA

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights with respect to personal information about you:

Right to Notice at Collection

This privacy policy informs you of the categories of personal information that may be collected from you and the purposes for which the categories will be used, at or before the time of collection of your personal information. For example, at the front door of our California stores, we have a sign that informs you that portions of our store have cameras that may record images of the store, as well as the people and other subjects in the store. Go to the Notice at Collection for Customers below, or click here, to see a chart that shows the categories of personal information we may collect about you and, for each category of personal information, the business purposes for which the personal information may be collected.

Right to Know about Personal Information Sold or Shared

We did not sell or share your personal information with Third Parties (as the underlined terms are defined by the CCPA) in the preceding twelve months.

Right to Limit the Use of Your Sensitive Personal Information

You have the right to restrict how your Sensitive Personal Information is used and disclosed, subject to certain uses permitted by California law (such as when the use is necessary for the performance of the services requested). We did not use or disclose your Sensitive Personal Information (as defined by the CCPA) for purposes other than what is permitted by California law.

Right to Know about Personal Information Collected and Disclosed

You have the right to request that we disclose what personal information we have collected, used, and disclosed in the preceding twelve months.

Right to Request Deletion of Personal Information

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information collected or maintained by us.

Right to Request Correction of your Personal Information

You have the right to request that inaccurate personal information about you be corrected.

HOW TO EXERCISE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

In order to exercise your privacy rights as specified above you can make your request via our webforms:

You can also make your request by calling  Raley’s Service Center at 800-925-9989.

Verifying Requests

For security purposes, we will verify your identity by using the pieces of information you provide when you submit your request. If applicable, you may be asked to verify that you are the owner of the SomethingExtra account associated with your information by signing into the account and following the directions provided. If you are a Team Member or Former Team Member, we may contact you for additional information in order to verify your identity.

Authorized Agents

You may designate an agent to exercise your rights under CCPA by calling Raley’s Service Center at 800-925-9989 and requesting a copy of the CCPA Authorized Agent Form. Instructions are provided on the form. In lieu of our form, a valid Power of Attorney, along with a statement of what rights are being exercised can be faxed to our Privacy Office at 916-371-1323.

NON-DISCRIMINATION

Except as allowed under the law when we offer financial incentives, we will not discriminate against you because you exercise any of your privacy rights described above, whether by: denying goods or services to you; charging different prices or rates for goods or services, including through the use of discounts or other benefits or imposing penalties; providing a different level or quality of goods or services to you; or suggesting that you will receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.

We offer financial incentives through our Something Extra Program in exchange for the collection and retention of personal information. We offer a different price, rate, level and quality of goods and services to Members of the Something Extra Program.

NOTICE OF FINANCIAL INCENTIVES FOR SOMETHING EXTRA MEMBERS

The Something Extra Program offers price and service differences and financial incentives to the Something Extra Members (“Members”). You will need to complete an enrollment form and agree to the Something Extra Terms and Conditions and this privacy policy to take advantage of the Something Extra Program. You may enroll at participating Raley’s, Bel Air and Nob Hill Foods stores, online at https://www.raleys.com/something-extra or click here, or by calling the Raley’s Service Center at 1(800) 925-9989. You may withdraw from the Something Extra Program at any time by calling the Raley’s Service Center.

When you sign up for Something Extra, you allow us to collect and retain personal information about you and your transactions with us. This collection and retention of data allows us to provide you with a more personalized shopping experience. For instance, if you choose to provide your birthday information in your Something Extra profile, we may give you free birthday treats and coupons for items you may use to celebrate. When you choose to use your Something Extra Number or Card at checkout at participating Raley’s, Bel Air and Nob Hill Foods stores or on raleys.com, we collect personal information about your transaction and use that information to provide special pricing and offers on items you might be interested in. Using your Something Extra Number or Card at checkout also allows us to track your spending and reward you with points. You earn points based on the items you buy at participating stores or at raleys.com.

We are allowed by law to offer financial incentives, and price and service differences to you if the differences are directly related to the value provided by your data. The personal information that you provide when you enroll in Something Extra and the information you continue to provide at checkout or by shopping online provides value to us. We offer more discounts, promotions, and rewards to Members who shop more frequently, who spend more with us, or both. Each Something Extra Member’s data provides differing value. We do not value each Member’s data equally as the dollar amount spent with us and the volume and nature of the transaction data forms the basis for offering the financial incentive, and price and service difference.

Our reasonable, good faith method to calculate the value of Something Extra Member’s data for our financial incentive program is the revenue generated from the retention of the Member’s personal information. In rough numbers, we multiply 1% against each eligible dollar spent by a Member to determine the value of that Member’s data in Something Extra Dollars and we return that 1% to the Member on a quarterly basis as described in the Terms and Conditions of the Something Extra Program.

Our reasonable, good faith method to calculate the value of Something Extra Member’s data for price and service differences is the lowered cost of goods we receive from the retention of the Member’s personal information. For example, we may have a vendor of potato chips that wants us to offer a coupon to Something Extra Members that buys that vendor’s potato chips. We do not sell or share personal information to the vendor, but we agree to place the coupon offer in the Something Extra Accounts of Members we know have purchased the potato chips in the past because they have allowed us to retain their transaction history. When the Member uses the coupon offered, we receive a lower cost of goods for that item from the vendor and the Member gets the discount on the purchase. It is not possible to ascertain the exact value of each Member’s data for price and service differences because vendor coupon offers vary and change depending on the goals of the vendor’s marketing efforts.

Go to the Notice at Collection for Customers below or click here to see a chart that shows the additional categories of personal information that are implicated by participating in the Something Extra Program.

Go to https://www.raleys.com/something-extra/terms-and-conditions/ or click here to see the full detail of the Terms and Conditions which apply to Something Extra Members.

If you have any questions about security on our website, you can send an email to webmaster@raleys.com.

BUSINESS TRANSITIONS

In the event Raley’s or its affiliates go through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, sale of all or a portion of its assets, or bankruptcy, your personal information will likely be transferred to a third party as an asset.

CHANGES IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy policy here and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
