Welcome to Something Extra®! We know it would be easier not to have terms and conditions to read, but then you might miss some of the nifty features of Something Extra®. And we plan to change and improve Something Extra® over time, so please come back and check this page frequently for any changes.

OVERVIEW. Members of Something Extra® may earn points in connection with the purchase of eligible products at participating locations, through participation in specified events, and by performing specified activities, subject to the terms and conditions on this page (“Terms and Conditions”). Points are redeemable toward the purchase of certain products or services at participating locations via Something Extra® Dollars once a Member has a minimum balance of 500 points at the end of a Something Extra® points earning period. Points and Something Extra® Dollars are issued for promotional purposes only, are non-transferable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and do not constitute property of the Member.

ENROLLMENT. Only individuals age 18 or older and residing in the United States may enroll to become Members of Something Extra® by completing the enrollment form, available at Raleys.com (“the Website”). Individuals may also enroll at Raley’s, Bel Air, or Nob Hill Foods stores or by calling the Raley’s Service Center at 1 (800) 925-9989. With information gathered during the enrollment process, Something Extra® will create a Member Account to track the Member’s points and a profile for the Member to control communication preferences. Employees of Raley’s Family of Stores may enroll to become Members of Something Extra® regardless of age.

MEMBERSHIP. No purchase is necessary to become a Member of the Something Extra® Program. The Something Extra® Program is not available in all areas and is void where prohibited by law.

BY BECOMING A SOMETHING EXTRA® MEMBER, YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND OUR PRIVACY POLICY (https://www.raleys.com/privacy-policy/). YOUR PRIVACY IS IMPORTANT TO US AND OUR POLICY INCLUDES INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR RIGHTS, INFORMATION SHARING, AND THE FINANCIAL INCENTIVES OFFERED TO SOMETHING EXTRA® MEMBERS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS OR OUR PRIVACY POLICY, DO NOT BECOME A SOMETHING EXTRA® MEMBER. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE AND YOU ARE ALREADY A SOMETHING EXTRA® MEMBER, YOU SHOULD REQUEST THAT YOUR ACCOUNT BE CANCELED BY CALLING RALEY’S SERVICE CENTER at 1 (800) 925-9989.

SOMETHING EXTRA® NUMBER. At enrollment, Members will be required to create a Something Extra® Number consisting of 10 digits. Each Something Extra® Number must be unique. If a Member attempts to establish a Something Extra® Number that already exists as another Member’s Something Extra® Number in the Something Extra® Program, the Member will be required to select a different number.

OPTIONAL SOMETHING EXTRA® CARD. In addition to creating a Something Extra® Number, a Member can choose to receive a Something Extra® Card. We strongly recommend you protect your Something Extra® Card like you would cash. Raley’s Family of Stores is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged Something Extra® Cards. To ensure proper handling of points and Member Accounts, lost or stolen Something Extra® Cards must be reported immediately to the Raley’s Service Center at 1 (800) 925-9989 or at the Website. Something Extra® Cards remain the property of Raley’s Family of Stores, privileges may be rescinded at any time, and Something Extra® Cards must be surrendered to us upon request.

EARNING POINTS. A Something Extra® Number must be entered or a Something Extra® Card must be scanned at the register at the time of purchase to earn points through the Something Extra® Program. Members earn 1 point per $1 spent on eligible products at participating Raley’s, Bel Air, and Nob Hill Foods stores, subject to certain EXCLUSIONS set forth below. Points are awarded on net purchases made when either a Something Extra® Number is entered or a Something Extra® Card is scanned at checkout. Purchases made without a Something Extra® Number or Something Extra® Card will not earn points. When calculating the points to be awarded, eligible purchases will be rounded to the nearest dollar value. For example, $47.50 purchase would earn 48 points whereas $47.49 purchase would earn 47 points. Purchases made prior to the Member’s enrollment in Something Extra® are not eligible to earn points.

REAL-TIME POINTS ACCUMULATION. Earned points will be posted to the Member Account at the time of purchase. The amount of points available in the Member Account, including points earned in the current transaction, will be reflected on the Member’s receipt when the transaction completes. In the event that the point-of-sale system is offline, points will be posted to the Member Account as soon as possible.

PHARMACY. Out-of-pocket (i.e., co-pay/non-insurance) Pharmacy purchases can earn points. The amount of points earned is based on the Member’s total out-of-pocket amount paid.

ONLINE SHOPPING PURCHASES. Points may be earned through online shopping purchases and are posted to the Member Account at the time of store pickup, when the transaction is complete.

EXCLUSIONS. Certain items, when purchased, do not earn points. Similarly, Something Extra® Dollars, Dollar Off Offers (e.g., $5 off, $25 off, etc.) and Extra Point Offers (e.g., 2x points, etc.) are not eligible to be used on certain items. These items may include:  lottery tickets, event tickets, postage stamps, certain prepaid cards, gift cards, money orders and any other in-store services (services include, without limitation and by way of example, mailbox rental fees, postal services fees, dry cleaning fees), milk, alcohol, tax, the portions of a prescription’s cost not paid out of pocket by the Member, fees (such as CRV and online shopping handling or delivery fees), plus any products prohibited by law.

EXTRA POINTS. Raley’s Family of Stores may occasionally offer “extra point” promotions in connection with the purchase of specified products or performing specified activities. Extra point offers will be time bound and subject to the conditions of the offer and may be available at any time at our sole discretion. Extra point promotions are valid for a limited time only and may, without advance notice, be ended.

REWARD REDEMPTION.  A Member may redeem earned points via Something Extra® Dollars when there is a minimum balance of 500 points available in the Member Account at the end of a Something Extra points earning period*. When the Member Account has 500 points or more at the end of a Something Extra points earning period, Something Extra® Dollars will be issued after the end of the earning period. You may select to receive your Something Extra® Dollars by accessing them online or as a paper voucher that is mailed to you.  The Something Extra® Dollars can only be redeemed on in-store and online purchases of eligible items, subject to the EXCLUSIONS described in the “Exclusions” section, above. If the Member Account has a balance of less than 500 points at the time the Something Extra® Dollars are to be issued, the Member will not receive any Something Extra® Dollars, but the earned points will remain available in the Member Account unless the points have expired. Something Extra® Dollars expire one year after issuance. If the Something Extra® Dollars document is lost, damaged or stolen before its expiration date, please let us know by calling the Raley’s Service Center at 1 (800) 925-9989. When using Something Extra® Dollars at checkout, the net purchase price of the eligible items must meet or exceed the Something Extra® Dollars value and the Member must redeem the entire Something Extra® Dollars balance and use another payment method to pay for the remaining balance, including excluded items.

*The Something Extra points earning periods for 2021 and 2022 are identified in the following table:

RETURNS. Raley’s Family of Stores reserves the right to deduct points from a Member Account if points earned for a purchase become the subject of a return, refund, returned check due to non-sufficient funds, or other credit.

CHECKING POINT BALANCE. Members can check available point balance on receipt, via the Website at any time or by calling the Raley’s Service Center at 1 (800) 925-9989. A Member’s point balance shall equal the balance shown in our records. If there is a discrepancy between our records and the Member’s own records, our records will determine the point balance unless the Member can prove otherwise to our satisfaction.

UPDATES TO MEMBER INFORMATION. Members can keep their personal information up to date via their profile on the Website. The information obtained from the profile and through the Member’s purchase activity will allow Raley’s Family of Stores to customize product offerings, improve the Member’s shopping experience, and provide the Member with marketing information. Once you enroll to become a Member of Something Extra®, you will automatically receive promotion notifications and other communications. A Member may also opt in to receive mobile communications. Members can control their communication preferences via their profile on the Website. Printed promotional materials will be mailed only to those households within our marketing territory. Raley’s will comply with all laws applicable to the disclosure and protection of Something Extra® Card information. As a convenience to them, Members may opt to engage in activities, services or programs that require Raley’s Family of Stores to share such information (e.g., online shopping services), but are not required to engage in those activities, services or programs. Examples of such information sharing can be found in our Privacy Policy under “Information Sharing and Disclosure.”

MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATION. Members may cancel their Something Extra® membership by calling the Raley’s Service Center. Upon cancellation, any unused Something Extra® Dollars and any unused points in the Member Account will be forfeited and cannot be redeemed. Once membership is cancelled, the Something Extra® Number and the Something Extra® Card may not be used to earn points.

POINT TRANSFERS. Points and Something Extra® Dollars are not transferable, including, without limitation, in the event of death, as part of a domestic relations matter, or as part of a trust or estate. The sale or barter of points or Something Extra® Dollars is prohibited.

MISUSE OF PROGRAM. Raley’s Family of Stores may revoke membership in Something Extra® at any time and for any or no reason at all, including, without limitation, if a Member abuses the Something Extra® Program or fails to follow the Terms and Conditions. Fraud or abuse relating to the earning of points or redemption of Something Extra® Dollars will result in revocation of membership and may affect a Member’s eligibility to participate in other programs offered by Raley’s Family of Stores.

AMENDMENT. We may amend the Terms and Conditions at any time by posting updated or revised Terms and Conditions on the Website. Please check the Website frequently for updates or revisions to the Terms and Conditions. Use of your Something Extra® Number or Something Extra® Card after the effective date of any amendment to the Terms and Conditions shall confirm that you agree to the amendment. If you do not agree to an amendment to the Terms and Conditions, you must stop using your Something Extra® Number and Something Extra® Card and cancel your membership.

TAXES. The Something Extra® Program points and Something Extra® Dollars may be subject to tax liability. Any tax liability shall be the responsibility of the Member.

UNFORESEEN EVENTS. Events beyond our control (such as computer equipment or electronic data transmission failure, strikes, civil disturbance, fire, or flood) which may materially affect our ability to perform will allow us to suspend or terminate the Something Extra® Program.

DISPUTES AND ARBITRATION. PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY.  IT MAY SIGNIFICANTLY AFFECT YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT. 

Enrolling in the Something Extra® Program constitutes your acceptance of this Arbitration provision.  Please read it carefully as it provides that you and Raley’s will waive any right to file a lawsuit in court or participate in a class action for matters within the terms of the Arbitration provision. EXCEPT FOR DISPUTES THAT QUALIFY FOR SMALL CLAIMS COURT, ALL DISPUTES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO SOMETHING EXTRA®, THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, OR ANY ASPECT OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN YOU AND RALEY’S, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, STATUTE, FRAUD, MISREPRESENTATION, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, WILL BE RESOLVED THROUGH FINAL AND BINDING ARBITRATION BEFORE A NEUTRAL ARBITRATOR INSTEAD OF IN A COURT BY A JUDGE OR JURY, AND YOU AGREE THAT RALEY’S AND YOU ARE EACH WAIVING THE RIGHT TO SUE IN COURT AND TO HAVE A TRIAL BY A JURY.  YOU AGREE THAT ANY ARBITRATION WILL TAKE PLACE ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS; CLASS ARBITRATIONS AND CLASS ACTIONS ARE NOT PERMITTED AND YOU ARE AGREEING TO GIVE UP THE ABILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION. 

Arbitration will be administered by Judicial Arbitration Mediation Services, Inc. (“JAMS”) pursuant to the JAMS Streamlined Arbitration Rules & Procedures that are in effect at the time the arbitration is initiated (the “JAMS Rules”) and as modified by this agreement to arbitrate.  The JAMS Rules, including instructions for bringing arbitration, are available on the JAMS website at http://www.jamsadr.com/rules-streamlined-arbitration.

If you decide to initiate arbitration, you agree to pay an arbitration initiation fee of $250, unless you are entitled to a waiver of the fee under California Code of Civil Procedure §1284.3, or other applicable law.  Raley’s agrees to pay the remainder of the initiation fee and all other costs of the arbitration proceeding.

The arbitration will be held at a location in your hometown area unless you and Raley’s both agree to another location or telephonic arbitration.  The arbitrator’s decision will follow the Terms and Conditions and will be final and binding.  The arbitrator will have authority to award temporary, interim, or permanent injunctive relief, but only to the extent necessary to provide relief warranted by the individual claim before the arbitrator.  The award rendered by the arbitrator may be confirmed and enforced in any court having jurisdiction thereof. 

Notwithstanding any of the foregoing, nothing in the Terms and Conditions will preclude you from bringing issues to the attention of federal, state, or local agencies and, if the law allows, they can seek relief against us for you.

You and Raley’s agree that the arbitration shall be kept confidential and that the existence of the proceeding and any element of it (including, without limitation, any pleadings, briefs, or other documents submitted or exchanged, and any testimony or other oral submissions and awards) will not be disclosed beyond the arbitration proceedings, except as may be lawfully required in judicial proceedings relating to the arbitration or by applicable disclosure rules and regulations of a governmental agency. 

The Terms and Conditions will be governed by and construed under the laws of the United States (including federal arbitration law) and the State of California, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Any claim must be brought within one (1) year after the cause of action arises, or such claim or cause of action is barred.

GENERAL. Terms and Conditions are subject to change without notice. Raley’s Family of Stores reserves the right to, at its sole discretion, cancel, alter, limit or modify Something Extra® Program rules, regulations, points earning and redeeming structure, or any other feature of the Something Extra® Program at any time, without notice. In accumulating points, Members may not rely on the continued availability of any reward or reward level and have no vested right with respect to points, rewards, Something Extra® Dollars, or program benefits. Interpretation of these Terms and Conditions shall be at the sole and absolute discretion of Raley’s Family of Stores.

The Something Extra® Program is offered entirely at the discretion of Raley’s Family of Stores and we reserve the right to end Something Extra® at any time, with or without notice, which may result in the forfeiture of points and Something Extra® Dollars, and loss of all benefits and privileges associated with the Something Extra® Program.
