Media Center: Press Release:  Customers Can Donate to Haitian Relief Fund at Checkout
100% of Donations Go to the American Red Cross

WEST SACRAMENTO, CA — Customers can give to Haitian earthquake relief during their stop at the grocery store, and know that 100% of their donations are going directly to the International Response Fund through the American Red Cross to help the devastated area.

Raley’s announced today that it is designating all donations to checkstand collection boxes in its 134 Raley’s, Bel Air, Nob Hill Foods and Food Source stores to Haitian earthquake relief, beginning Saturday, January 16 through February 13.

As usual, Raley’s covers the administrative costs of all checkstand donations.

“The devastation in Haiti is so complete, said Jennie Teel-Wolter, Raley’s Communitarian. “We want to help; we know our customers want to help. It’s only natural that we provide a convenient way for our customers to give what they can in a place they know will get their donation to those in need.”
