Raley's Launches New Customer Loyalty Program
“Something Extra™” Designed to Give Raley’s Customers More Value and A Personalized Shopping Experience

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif.  (September 26, 2012) – Raley’s Family of Fine Stores is launching a new customer rewards program today designed to provide its shoppers with a personalized shopping experience.

Raley’s created the program with its strategic marketing partner, dunnhumbyUSA, which is based on data analysis, vendor partnerships, customer communications and the consistent delivery of tailored promotions for its members. Customers will earn 1 point for every $1 spent on eligible products at Raley’s, Bel Air and Nob Hill Foods.  Points will be awarded to customers in the form of quarterly rewards vouchers that can be used toward savings on a future purchase. The program also delivers personalized offers based on customers’ purchase history and personal preferences.

“Something Extra™ has been more than three years in the making and was specially designed to improve the shopping experience of our most loyal customers,” said Mike Teel, Raley’s President & CEO.  He added, “By learning from our customers’ shopping preferences, Something Extra™ will deliver customized offers on the products they purchase most, which will make their shopping experience easier and more satisfying. As our customers continue to engage in Something Extra™, we will evolve and grow the program to respond to their needs.”

Something Extra™ is not a traditional loyalty program like those offered at many retailers which only offers a two-tiered pricing system – one price for club members and another price for all customers. Shoppers at Raley’s, Bel Air and Nob Hill Foods who choose not to enroll in Something Extra™ will continue to be able to take advantage of sales prices, Raley’s Dailies and other in-store sales promotions.

There are a variety of ways customers can enroll in Something Extra™ including signing up in stores, enrolling online at Raleys.com or on their mobile device.  Each store will have Store Ambassadors on hand who are experts on the program and will assist customers with enrollment questions and information so that no delays occur at the check stands. The program launches today in each of the company’s 120 Raley’s, Bel Air and Nob Hill Foods stores.
