Well for Life

Getting family and friends together for some summer grilling is a tradition for many of us.  Here are a few tips to keep your summer grilling healthy and tasty too!

· Use marinades when grilling.  According to the American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR), marinating does more than tenderize and infuse food with flavor; it also helps reduce the formation of carcinogens associated with grilling.

Try this! -   For a sweet beef marinade whisk together 3/4 c Napa Valley Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 1/2 cup red wine vinegar, 1 tbsp. sage, 2 tbsp. pure maple syrup (like Coombs Family Farms Organic Maple Syrup) and 1 tsp paprika.  Marinade for at least 30 minutes, or longer before grilling.

· Grill Veggies - You can grill all sorts of fruit and veggies which enhances flavors.

Try this!  Slice a few zucchini summer squash lengthwise, about 1/2 inch slices.  Then drizzle about 1/2 cup of Cucina Antica Balsamico Dressing on top and let sit about 20 minutes. This dressing makes a great marinade for meats too. Then grill for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side.  Sprinkle with Himalania Pink Salt while cooking.

· Grill a meatless burger!  Be sure to look for non-gmo and organic products. Try Sunshine Burgers!  They are made with non-gmo grains to provide whole grain, organic nutrition and they come in a variety of flavors.
