Apple Bourbon Syrup
Apple Bourbon Syrup
1 cups water divided
2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 (12- oz.) containers frozen apple juice concentrate thawed
1/4 to 1/2 cup bourbon
10 whole cloves
1 Granny Smith apple cored and cut in to slices
4 cinnamon sticks

Prep: 15 minutes, Cook: about 20 minutes, Makes 2½ cups 

1. Whisk together 1⁄2 cup water and cornstarch in a small bowl; set aside. Place juice, 1 cup water, bourbon, cloves, cinnamon sticks and apple in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally

2. Strain and discard apple and spices; return liquid to a boil and whisk in cornstarch mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, for 1 to 2 minutes or until slightly thickened.

3. Transfer to resealable containers. Store in refrigerator for up to 1 month. Recipe may be doubled.
