Teriyaki Salmon Burgers
Teriyaki Salmon Burgers
2 (7- oz.) pouches Chicken of the Sea Salmon
1 egg
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup sliced green onions
1/4 cup chopped water chestnuts
1/4 cup chopped red bell peppers
3 tbsp. teriyaki sauce
1 tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
2 tsp. grated fresh ginger
Freshly ground pepper to taste
Wheat hamburger buns, split and lightly toasted on grill
Lettuce leaves (topper)
Tomato slices (topper)
Cucumber slices (topper)

Prep: 10 minutes, Cook: 12 minutes, Serves: 4

1. Combine all ingredients except oil, buns and toppings in a small bowl and mix well; shape into 4 patties.

2. Place on a well-oiled piece of heavy- duty foil on a grill over medium heat and cook for about 5 minutes. Brush tops with oil and turn; cook for 5 minutes more. (Turn carefully so burgers do not fall apart.) Remove from foil and cook for 2 minutes more per side or until lightly charred.

3. Serve on wheat buns with lettuce, tomato and cucumber. Serve with additional teriyaki sauce, if desired.
