Strawberry Basil Balsamic  Ice Cream
Strawberry Basil Balsamic Ice Cream
1 (16- oz.) package fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
1 cup sugar
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup limoncello
1 tbsp. Nob Hill Trading Co. Aged Balsamic Vinegar, plus additional for drizzling
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 tbsp. fresh basil, thinly sliced

Our team tasters were skeptical, but blown away by the flavor combination in this dessert. Make sure you choose the aged balsamic vinegar, which is sweeter than other balsamic vinegars.

Prep: 20 minutes, Chill: several hours or overnight, Serves: 8

1. Mash strawberries and sugar together in a large bowl and let stand for 5 minutes. Whisk in remaining ingredients except basil. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until well chilled.

2. Place in the bowl of an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer’s instructions. Remove paddle and stir in basil. Serve immediately or cover and chill until ready to serve. Drizzle each serving with a little balsamic vinegar.
