Roasted 5-Spice Chicken
Roasted 5-Spice Chicken
1 whole frying chicken
1/2 cup thick teriyaki sauce (we like Soy Vay)
2 tbsp. honey
2 tsp. Chinese 5-spice powder
1 tsp. grated fresh ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 green onion, minced

Prep: 15 minutes, Cook: 1 hour, 20 minutes
Serves: 6

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Rinse chicken and pat dry. Tie legs together with kitchen twine and place in a 13 X 9-inch baking dish. Cook for 30 minutes.

2. While chicken is cooking, stir together remaining ingredients in a small bowl; set aside 2 tbsp. mixture.

3. Reduce oven temperature to 325°F. Cook chicken for 40 minutes more, brushing with larger amount of sauce every 10 minutes.

4. Cut into pieces and drizzle with reserved sauce.
