Shrimp Marsala
Shrimp Marsala
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup chopped onion
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbsp. flour
1-1/2 cups chicken stock
2/3 cup Marsala wine
1 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. sea salt
1-1/2 lbs. large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 lb. hot cooked angel hair pasta
Chopped fresh basil or parsley (optional)

Prep: 20 minutes, Cook: 20 minutes, Serves: 6

1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute more.

2. Slowly add stock and wine, cooking and stirring until smooth. Add basil and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Add shrimp to skillet and cook for 5 minutes more or until shrimp is pink and cooked through, turning once.

3. Serve over hot pasta and top with fresh herbs, if you like. Double recipe if you prefer a large serving.
