Green Beans with Tomatoes and Shallots
Green Beans with Tomatoes and Shallots
3 tbsp. butter divided
1 cup shallots thinly sliced, peeled
1 lb. fresh green beans stem ends trimmed
1 cup cherry tomatoes
1 tsp. marjoram
2 ea cloves garlic minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes

Melt 1 tbsp. butter in a large electric skillet. Add
shallots; cook and stir over medium-low heat (300F) for 5
to 10 minutes or until very soft and golden brown. Remove
from skillet and keep warm. Increase heat to medium-high
(400F). Add remaining butter and green beans; cook for 5
minutes, stirring frequently. Add tomatoes, marjoram and
garlic and cook for 5 minutes more. Stir in shallots and
season to taste with salt and pepper.
