Springtime Shortbread
Springtime Shortbread
1/4 cup flour
2 tbsp. butter softened
1 tbsp. powdered sugar
1/8 tsp. almond extract
2 pastel mint kisses (in our bulk candy bins)
Prep time: 10 minutes Cook time: 15 minutes

Preheat oven to 350F and place a small strip of parchment paper on a small baking sheet. Stir together flour, butter, powdered sugar and extract in a small bowl until a dough forms. Shape into 2 balls and place on prepared baking sheet. Press with the palm of your hand to flatten slightly. Bake for 15 minutes; remove from oven and press one kiss into the center of each cookie.

Makes 2 cookies. Recipe can be doubled.
