California Tomato Grilled Cheese
California Tomato Grilled Cheese
1 tbsp. softened butter, divided
4 (1/2 -inch thick) slices sourdough bread (in our Bakery)
3 tbsp. California Sun-Dry Sun-Dried Tomato Spread, divided
1/2 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese, divided
Fresh basil leaves (optional)

Prep: 10 minutes, Cook: 10 minutes, Serves: 2

1. Butter 1 side of each bread slice. Place bread, buttered side down, in a large skillet over medium heat. Spread tomato spread onto 2 bread slices and sprinkle cheese on the other slices.

2. Cook for 5 minutes or until cheese starts to melt.

3. Top with basil leaves and close sandwiches; cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes more or until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted, turning once or twice.
