Barbecue Beans

Barbecue Beans
3 strips bacon, (or 3 slices Canadian bacon + 1 tbsp.olive oil)
1/2 small onion peeled and chopped
1 clove garlic minced
1 (15.25- oz.) can kidney beans (or no-salt-added kidney beans) drained
1 (15- oz.) can black beans (or no-salt-added black beans) drained
1 (14.5- oz.) can stewed tomatoes or S&W No Added Salt Stewed Tomatoes)
3/4 cup barbecue sauce (or Mr. D & Sons Barbecue Sauce)
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp. prepared mustard
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 30 minutes

Cook bacon in a large pot until crisp. Remove bacon from pot
and drain grease, leaving 1 tbsp. bacon grease in the pot.
Add onion and garlic; cook over medium heat, stirring
frequently, until onion is soft, about 10 minutes. Return
bacon to the pot along with remaining ingredients; stir
well. Bring to a boil; cover and simmer over low heat for 30
