1 (1- lb.) pouch Marie Callender's Original Corn Bread Mix
1/2 cup water
5 hot dogs, each cut into 6 pieces
Vegetable oil cooking spray

Place a small fun toothpick in each and serve with ketchup and sweet potato fries.

Prep: 15 minutes, Cook: 12 minutes, Serves: 10

1. Preheat oven to 425°F and coat a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.

2. Stir together corn bread mix and water in a medium bowl to form a firm dough. Roll walnut-size pieces of dough into balls and flatten in your palm. Place a piece of hot dog in each and press to seal. (Add a little water if dough is too dry, or flour if dough becomes too sticky.) Place on prepared baking sheet and spray liberally with cooking spray.

3. Bake for 5 minutes, then remove from oven and coat with cooking spray again. Bake for 7 minutes more or until lightly browned.

These did not turn out well at all. It was difficult to form the corn bread mixture around the hot dog. And it was way too much bread for such a small amount of hot dog. I got frustrated and just chopped up all the hot dog, stirred it into the mix, and scooped them on to the cookie sheet. They were much better that way.
