Bittersweet Chocolate Almond Tart

Bittersweet Chocolate Almond Tart
3/4 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 cup cold butter, cut into pieces
1 egg
1 (10- oz.) bag bittersweet chocolate chips
1 (8- oz.) container mascarpone cheese (in our Deli), at room temperature
6 tbsp. almond liqueur (such as amaretto)

Prep: 30 minutes, Bake: 20 to 25 minutes, Chill: 2 hours, Serves: 12

1. Mix flour, sugar and cocoa powder in a medium bowl; cut in butter with a pastry blender or fork. Stir in egg, mixing just until a soft dough forms. Press pastry into a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom; cover and chill for at least one hour.

2. Preheat oven to 350°F. Prick dough with a fork on bottom and sides. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until dough is cooked through; let cool.

3. Place chocolate chips in a medium bowl and microwave on HIGH for 1 to 2 minutes or until almost melted, stirring once or twice, then stir until chips are melted; let cool slightly. Whisk in mascarpone cheese, then whisk in liqueur. Spread into cooled tart shell, swirling surface with a spatula. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Remove from refrigerator 1 hour before serving.
