Chocolate Peppermint Drops

Chocolate Peppermint Drops
4 1/2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups brown sugar
2 (12- oz.) bags mint baking chips
Here's How:
1. Stir together flour, sugar, baking soda and salt.

2. Alternate layers of dry ingredients and baking chips in four 1-quart canning jars.

3. Screw lids on tightly and tie tags with instructions around each jar.

Tag Instructions: Beat 1/2 cup softened butter, 1 egg and 1 tsp. peppermint extract in a medium bowl until light and fluffy. Stir in contents of one jar. Place heaping teaspoonfuls of dough on parchment-lined cookie sheets and bake at 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes.
