North Carolina Barbecue Slaw

North Carolina Barbecue Slaw
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup Raley's Ketchup
2-1/2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 (16- oz.) bags coleslaw mixture (cabbage and carrots)
Prep time: 5 minutes

Whisk together all ingredients except cabbage in a large bowl. Stir in cabbage and toss well to coat.

Makes 12 servings.

Sorry, Raley's. This isn't from any part of NC I've ever lived in or visited. NC slaw is very simple - cabbaged, mayo, salt, papper, sugar and a small amount of sweet pickle cubes. The ketchup and carrots made this far too sweet, and the color was unappealing.
