Smoked Almond Dukkah

Smoked Almond Dukkah
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1 tbsp. cumin seeds
1/2 tbsp. fennel seeds
1 cup Blue Diamond Smoked Almonds, coarsely chopped
1/3 cup flaked unsweetened coconut, lightly toasted
1/2 tsp. black peppercorns
1/4 tsp. sea salt or to taste
Cubed rustic bread
Good quality extra virgin olive oil

Pronounced DOO-kuh, this makes a fantastic simple appetizer when served with bread and olive oil. It’s also great to bread chicken or fish, or to sprinkle over steamed vegetables.

Prep: 15 minutes, Cook: 2 minutes, Serves: 8 

1. Toast all seeds in a small skillet over medium heat for 2 minutes or until fragrant.

2. Place seeds in a food processor with almonds, coconut and peppercorns and process until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add salt to taste.

3. To serve, dip bread cubes in olive oil, then dip in almond mixture.
