Cranberry and Port Sauce

Cranberry and Port Sauce
1 (12- oz.) package fresh cranberries
1½ cups sugar
3/4 cup orange juice
1/2 cup port wine
2 tsp. grated orange peel

Prep: 5 minutes, Cook: 30 minutes, Makes: about 2 cups

1. In a small saucepan, stir together all ingredients except orange peel. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes or until cranberries are popping and soft and mixture is slightly thickened (it will continue to thicken as it cools).

2. Stir in orange peel.

Try This! Serve over sliced cooked turkey, chicken or pork. Spread over pork roasts during the last 5 minutes of cooking. Slather over warm biscuits. Spoon over vanilla ice cream. Drizzle over cheesecake slices.
