Basic Beer Bread

Basic Beer Bread
2 cups prepared baking mix (such as Bisquick)
3/4 cup lager
1 tsp. sugar

Recipe may be doubled.

Prep: 5 minutes, Cook: 25 to 30 minutes, Rise: 30 minutes,
Makes: 8 to 10 servings

1. Stir together all ingredients in a medium bowl; spread into 2 mini loaf pans that have been coated with nonstick cooking spray. Cover and let stand for 30 minutes or until doubled in bulk.

2. Preheat oven to 400°F. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes; let cool, then remove from pans.


• Stir in 1/2 cup walnuts and 1½ tsp. rosemary.

• Stir in 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese and 1 (4-oz.) can diced green chiles
